I am Cathal O’ Carroll owner of The Spokesman.
The Spokesman started in 2010. I try to practice what I preach and I have participated in the Leinster Loop, Wicklow 200, Sean Kelly cycle, Mizen to Malin, Ring of Kerry, The Rebel Tour and Ride Prudential London.
I call to locations during the week and repair bicycles while people are working. I also call into offices and homes to repair bicycles for individuals and families. On Sundays, The Spokesman provides a full service at Dun Laoghaire People’s Park farmers Market
Customers love the service because I repair bicycles quickly. They don’t have to drop bike to a shop and wait days to get their bike back. Because I repair bicycles, The Spokesman also sells new bicycles, accessories and clothing. I sell new bikes under the bike to work scheme. Brands include KTM and FUJI. I also rent road bicycles, so please check my
roadbikehire.ie website for more details about road bike hire. I deliver the new bikes to people’s homes or office.
The Spokesman also provides pre-event and on event support for Charity Cycles eg. Cycle Against Suicide.
My clients include: Diageo, Ulster Bank, Facebook, Trinity College, Fineos, Oracle, AIB, Aecom, State Street, the IFSC, A&L Goodbody and IADT.
The Spokesman was a finalist the Green Awards 2013 and the winner of Special Merit/Micro Enterprise Award for the 2014 DLRChamber Envirocon Awards
I got a super tune up job performed on my bike from the crew at spokesman recently. Cathal and his team did an absolutely superb job in super quick time and did it for a price much less than that quoted at many bike shops around Dublin. Thanks
I recently bought a bike on the bike to work scheme and delighted with the bike but the customer service was fantastic, if you want a bike talk to Cathal, you will be surprised that customer service still exists. !!
Hello Cathal. Just a quick note to say thanks for picking up my bike in Blackrock and doing the service etc. I went for a spin yesterday after you had dropped it back and it felt great. Many thanks again,
